Blue Lake, Arapeen ATV Trail Information

"Blue Lake", actually called "Cove Lake" has been a favorite of ours for quite some time. At 9,411 ft in elevation it's a good place to escape the summer heat. The Arapeen atv trail in the area is smooth and winds through the trees with an occasional opportunity to catch some air on the bumps. There are more than 500 miles of trail in the area, 350 of which have been designated as part of the Arapeen Trail System. The fishing is usually fair and consists of small trout. Duck Fork Reservoir can be reached by riding south a few miles on the atv trails and canyon roads. Blue Lake is located at 39* 12.944N 111* 25.364W on the gps, and is most easily reached via Ephraim Canyon. Upon reaching the top of Ephraim Canyon, AKA "skyline drive" turn right and travel Southward along the ridge towards Snow Lake. Turn left just beyond Snow Lake and go over a cattle guard, Jet Fox Reservoir will be on your right. Blue Lake is 4 or 5 miles further down the small dirt road from Jet Fox.
