AS I considered that the black fender would be a better color to hide the exhaust spooge, and it still looks good with the rest of the bike. On the swingarm is a factory effex Honda swingarm graphic, and the shroud is the 2002 Factory Effex shroud graphic.

Great info, thanks! I've often wondered if the 02 shrouds would fit. I'm running a 360 main jet, 20 slow jet. I ride from 4000 up to probably 9500 feet. Let me know if you do get a chance to check what main you're running. Thanks again! Do you have any pics? riding? bike? etc.

I ride anywhere from below sea level in Ocotillo Wells to 3500-4000. 927 at 44:1 has always been good to me. What size main are you running? I'll check mine and let you know as well...and if you really want to run newer graphics, you can replace the tank to 02+ and the 02 + shrouds will fit; you have to make a mount for the lower shroud bolt...no big deal from what I understand.

I like the look of those a lot, have you ever seen them for an 01? If you can get them fairly cheap it might be worth taking the chance that they'll fit..perhaps with a little trimming? What elevation do you ride? I still have a bit of spooge, I'll have to try the maxima oil sometime. I worry about going any leaner on the main, but perhaps with a 40:1 it needs a little less fuel.

Thanks for the advice on leaning the main. I've gone down a couple sizes already actually. The plug says it's jetted correctly, but you could be onto something there. I've started to use bel ray h1 oil and it's much better too..what's 927?? I think I've been around 40:1, so I'll check that as well. Thanks!

Looks good. I just ordered white plastics for my 01 CR250 to update my old stock look. Although my desert tank is black and slightly modded to accommodate the CR500 motor stuffed in there. I am searching for white graphics now. There is a cool David Bailey one that looks really cool - but only avail for 02+ Your side panels look nice! I think I'll try that idea. PMB Kickstand is cool too. Oh - try leaning out the mainjet. Hondas are jetted really rich from the factory and will spooge like crazy - also dont run 32:1 or 20:1 - go 44:1 ratio running 927 - best stuff to run IMO. My 01 motor is in another chassis; original top end since new...FTW.
